Can be attached anywhere. It is not necessary to attach it to a suction cup. M4 bolt. And screw it onto any surface using this bolt.
You can even buy an additional mount for a 17 mm ball head and attach it to a swivel clamp with two clamps.
In a word, the thing is simply awesome. absolutely satisfied.
I wouldn't trust the suction cups (although if you wet them, they can stick to glass).
